Is it safe for a woman to travel to India on her own?

What would be the most dangerous country to travel to for a woman alone? Egypt or India?

    I heard Egypt is ok if you stay in the resorts, but really, why would you wanna be in a resort the whole time? I'm not sure what Egypt is like now after the revolution. The last time I went I was 15 and there wasn't really any problems. My aunt and uncle did allow me to walk around the town sometimes. It was really different and an amazing experience but I couldn't understand arabic at that time. I did get stared at...tried to dragged into buying things...etc. But if you have common sense you'd be fine. As for India, I have not been, but I think it's the same kind of thing. Also, my boyfriend is part Indian and has been there. He thinks that certain areas would be better than others. Most of the country is fine, except some parts in the north and east. Use your common sense, and you'll be fine. I really want to go to India.

I can't understand why wouldn't cairo be safe? I don't know about Delhi but Cairo is very safe for me ! good luck . @ Asker not all signs are in Arabic but yea many of them are . as for taxis you should take the white taxi it has a meter so you'll pay what the meter says no one can fool you . people tend to stare @ anything unusual it's a human thing not exclusive for egyptian people lol .. @ the end it's your choice but I'm telling you it is safe here .. best wishes ! @ Asker you're welcome
