Where is the cheapest place to live in england?

  • Answer:

Just look for a big city with a decent amount of crime. That would be a good starting place.

Crime, deprivation and unemployment are a good pointer. I would say parts of Burnley and Bradford.

In England or the UK? so many people say England when they mean Scotland, N Ireland & Wales too. According to a recent poll Mountain Ash in Wales is cheap, also Burnley in Lancashire but its infested with fascist boot boys (BNP) bringing down the price of property and generally making it unpleasant. Not that I'd want to live in either but they are both surrounded by v. nice countryside.

Well if you don't have to worry about housing costs anywhere really. However if you do own or rent a place I'd say either the East Midlands or the North West of the UK. Here housing costs are about 30-50% lower. (Survey I've read in the last week or so)
