How much is for a Taxi from Civitavecchia to Rome?

Are there any services that pick up at FCO airport, take you on tour of Rome then drop you in Civitavecchia?

  • We are flying into FCO aiport in Rome early in the morning. We were interested on going on a short tour of Rome and then being dropped off at the port for our Cruise at Civitavecchia ...show more

  • Answer:

The cruise line will likely have some options but I'd encourage you to shop around, as their tours can be very pricey. When I went to Rome on Oceania they wanted a whopping $600 for a private car to the airport -- and that's without a tour. The company I selected, Airport Shuttle, charged me 100 Euros for a private car. I'm not sure if they do tours, but I recommend these guys for being on time and having good customer service: http://www.airportshuttle.it or telephone: +39-06-42013469

Check with the cruise company that you are going on. I know that Princess offers before and after cruise tours for people that want to do this. For instance, I spent 4 days in the interior of Alaska before boarding on the ship. All of it was arranged in advance by Princess including the pick up at the airport, the hotels(some were Princess owned lodges), to transfers to the train and then to the port. So I would think the cruise company would be your best bet for this.
