    I have cruised to Alaska a couple times among more than 20 cruises and here's my experience and advice. First, all of the cruise lines will try to accommodate your special dietary needs. And its not hard at all to eat vegetarian meals on a cruise. All of the cruise lines have a buffet that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The buffet will have all manner of fruits and vegetables, salads and soups. So you can pick exactly what you want and need from the buffet. All of the cruise lines have free room service with a rather limited menu but you can order salads and fruit and well as for dinner soups. The lunch and dinners are served in the ships main formal dining room and the lunch and dinner menus always have salads, soups and fruit selections. Some ships have a self service salad and pasta bar for lunch. The ships dinner menu's always have soup and salad selections each day. Then if you want you can order a vegetable plate each day. You can inform your wait staff that your choice each day will be vegetables and salads and they will get for you vegetables and salads that are not even listed on the menu. Most ships will have a Caesar salad available for dinner every day and I have ordered instead of the special salad of the day a garden salad with lettuces, tomato and cucumber. On a cruise the waiters will bring you whatever you want if they have it and vegetables are easy. My suggestion of a cruise line would be Princess, Celebrity or Holland America. All three are first class and provide great service and amenities. This is from Celebrity Cruise line's web site regarding Vegetarian meals: " Extensive selections offered on lunch and dinner menus include appetizers (fried mushroom caps, polenta with tomato basil sauce, and farmer cheese fritters), soups (chilled gazpacho, cream of corn Caroline and chilled peach with mint), various salads, entrees (rice glass noodles with snow peas, green beans and chili, Middle Eastern casserole of okra, potato and zucchini, and Sonora-style fajitas with guacamole, salsa, sour cream and cilantro) and desserts (warm pear charlotte with fruit coulis, rice conde with caramel sauce or fresh fruit salad)." This is from the Princess Cruise line web site: "On the main dining room menus, passengers will always find a daily selection of healthy Lotus Spa options designed for those watching their diets. Choices include vegetarian dishes, lower-calorie entrees and salads, as well as options lower in cholesterol, fat and sodium. Sugar-free desserts are included on the daily dessert menus as well."

All cruise lines take vegetarian requests. Theres no way to tell which line has the best selection or taste. They all do there best to accomodate there passengers special requests.
