I would say it is a sarcoid. Sarcoids are just horse warts. Though the sound of them sounds bad. A lot of gray horses get them especially quarter horses or horses with darker skin. They arent bad for the horse just unapealing to the eye. Maybe your horse scratched one on something....who knows I would have to look at it to be for sure though.

The one on her rump is most likely a melanoma.Alot of gray horses get them. Most of the time they are inactive, and you have to just let them be, because they just grow back. Horses can get them around their head too, but I've never seen one on the neck! Hopefully its a haematoma. its just a big blood blister. Horses get them from a kick, or hitting something. She might have also just got a sliver, they can swell up like that too. Give it a few days.If it doesn't start reducing in size, then you need to call your vet.

It is probably a kick or a bite from another horse. When my horse got kicked in the chest, all the hair was gone and he had a big bump where he was kicked that lasted about two weeks. If you are still worried about your horse, I would call the vet and ask him/her what they think would be the most logical action to take. I hope I could help and that your horse gets better soon!

This may be melanoma. Usually it is on the head or down by the anus, but i bet it could be there. Melanoma is most common in Gray Horses. There are two types, Malignant, and unactive. You will need to get a vet out there to do a culture, because depending on the status of the tumor, surgical procedures may be needed. A lot of horses have this, and some can live with Inactive Melanoma Tumors, as long as they are Inactive.

I would still get a vet to check her out out especially for the bigger one. Sometimes you can call them and ask what you can do for it and get the proper medication for them. Our vet always appreciated us calling and asking what we could do to treat it ourselves especially when they were busy with other livestock and surguries
