Does USPS ship on thanksgiving?

I bought an item on Amazon and expected it to ship tomorrow which is Thanksgiving. The package arrived at the local UPS store and they transfer the package to USPS. I just wondering ...show more

USPS does not ship. It processes and delivers. The one doing the shipping is the sender. USPS transports mail 24 hours a day every day of the year. But there is no delivery on Sundays and holidays except for special pieces for which an extra fee is charged. What you are expecting will come Friday or later.

Depends. They have different types of shipping deals. If your shipping is for ground service... forget it. They only operate on business days. There is also options like next day air express, they will ship on holidays & sundays, however it's much more expensive.
