How to get a job on an oil rig?

If you are from the south you have heard of a company called Manpower. They specially in temporary assignements on oil rigs. Google: Manpower followed by the name of the largest city nearby to find a location. Call them up and set up an interview No experience needed. But you need to be strong. This is not a job for the weak. You could be working 12 hour shifts in grueling conditions. You might be away 2 to 3 weeks in a row with 1 week off. The pay is great though. But be ready to sleep for 2 straight days when you get back This way you get a bit of experience. Work with them for about 6 months. Eventually you will learn the contacts on how to get hired by a real company.
