Who works as a barista at Starbucks?

Advice for interviewing for Starbucks barista position?

  • I applied for the barista position at Starbucks. What does anyone who has worked for Starbucks recommend knowing, etc. for interviewing with Starbucks? Thanks!

  • Answer:

Don't make coffee jokes. If you have any kind of communication problem, state so early in the interview, or that's all they will be focused on while you speak. Do not be over-eager, but send off a pleasant vibe. Take anything they give you, if the person ask you when you're available, don't rule out times because you'd prefer not to do it then take any time you can get. A person could have a Ph.D in coffee making, but if you're available at better hours than they are, you're going to get the job.

Relatively entry level, but good skills would be any background in customer service. Get the message across that you're time is flexible and available, that you're highly functional, and customer oriented, definately a team player. Dress nicely, be polite. Know something about SB, and have an opinion why you choose to interview there. Follow-up in about 2 days regardless.
