What would you do if you catch an employee stealing?

  Management has given all of you lockers with a locked combination so that you can secure things from being stolen. Obviously they did this for a reason and you have found out to avoid someone from stealing from you. The assumption is that up till recently hiring 3 new employees, that one of them must be the culprit, but could be from an old employee which no one would suspect since now with the new hires is a easy target. You have several options. 1 is to keep your cash on your person at all times, or put your purse in your car truck and lock it and keep your keys with you, or just remember to lock your locker which is the easiest. The only thing management can do would be to put up a notice by the time clock notifying everyone that their has been reported theft of cash from the employees and to make sure that everyone lock their lockers. They could also add that any employee caught stealing, be it from the store or from someone else will be fired on the spot. If they wont do it, ask them if you can put the notice up. For management to do anything else would not be reasonable, since they have already gave you lockers with locks and as an adult, you need to take steps to protect your own property.
