  • Answer:

Not really, they do like call center experience, but you just have to find a way to get your foot in the door. They don't really do too many call center classes, or anything. Most companies like to instill their own training, rather than retrain someone when they already have their own system in place. So what you just have to do is see if you can land an interview with these companies. Try to make your resume stand out and keep calling back to find out the status of your application. The more you show an effort that you really want to work there, the more likely you will be to get your foot in the door. Another way of going about this is that most companies, when they hire for their call centers, they're hiring for more than one position, and these are very rarely advertised to just anybody in the public. Companies like to go through employment agencies first, hiring people in batches so that they can all do one training course together, instead of training each individual person. If you were to go through an employment agency, your chances of landing a call center job would increase exponentially. Then, later on, the company would hire the temps that they would like to bring on board permanently. Good luck!
