I have a dream to be a pastry chef. I bake cakes often & am experimenting with decorating. I thought I would get a degree in business and then go to pastry school. is it plausible? ...show more

If you are still in high school, take all the business and culinary courses they offer. Learn Spanish or Portuguese. Hit the gym for weight lifting and aerobics , you'll need both. Get a job in your local bakery, the one in the supermarket counts! Baking at home is WAY different so you should get real experience before you go to school! It can be the best job there is, but if you hate the hours or the heat , or the smell....better to find this out before you plunk down thousands of dollars!
