    i would say, despite the fact that i am an Executive Chef since many years, stay in nursing. the population is aging, that is a fact and your profession will be more and more in demand. Culinary is a killer, more and more people come into the profession half skilled and drop out again. you really must have something special in pastry to make it in the field. chocolate sculptures, sugar works, wedding cakes, but top notch, these are in demand, in every bigger hotel or chain. but that takes years to learn and a professional course, say 6 month to learn the basics, can be 5 or 6 thousand dollars. this is no lie, check out the net. and it is also a fact that you might work every weekend, evening, holiday,new year, after all WE work when others are having a good time.

I would say hotel manager because with that type of career you have no limitations.

Stay away from culinary arts. Many, many graduates in this field in the passed 4 years and many more to come. The market is flooded with them. The demand is the lowest of just about any field that requires an education. Nursing will earn you a great salary with a 4 year degree. Hotel management is indeed exciting, but will not get you the higher pay that you might be craving..
