Is being a cashier a bad job?

I'm applying for a job at Panera Bread as a cashier. I have a college degree. Can I earn more as a cashier?

For a cashier? You can try but your college degree is completely irrelevant in this case. It might help you if you were applying for management but in this case I don't think it's going to help you. And Panera Bread is a franchise, I don't know if they are all that flexible in their pay rates.
