How old do you have to be to become a sous Chef?

If i wanted to become a sous chef, what steps should i take to make that happen?

  Honestly, in some places, you can just start at the bottom and work your way up. Like go in preparing salads and stuff, gain exp. and work your way up that way. Or, like my sister, you could go to culinary school. Kinda expensive, but if that's what you want to do, TOTALLY worth it. I spent a summer working in a restaurant kitchen (as an assistant) and it was really fun. Stressful, yes, but also fun/rewarding at the same time. So, yeah, look around your area for cooking schools. In some places, there are specific schools that teach culinary arts OR you might have a culinary program at your local community college. Just Google: "culinary school" and "[your location]".
