There are also Licensed Practical Nurses or Vocational Nurses. They attend vocational colleges for 12-18 months. LPN/LVN's work in nursing homes and some hospitals. The pay is more than nurse's aides, but less than RN.

CRN is a nurse assistant. The assist a nurse. They get some training. Very little pay. An RN is a registered nurse and they graduated from nursing school. A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse that went to get her Master's degree and can prescribe medicine, provide more advanced care and even diagnose some conditions.
