Medical Assistant VS Medical Assistant SPECIALIST?

  • Answer:

Just a word to the wise that there are not supposed to be too many jobs for the MA (or medical biller or coder) despite what those private $$ schools say. Perhaps the one course is called MA specialist since it's longer and has slightly more coursework. If still wanting to receive the training, please forgo those expensive schools and instead look at the county vo-tech school or community college (perhaps non-credit course). Please also steer clear of online, for-profit schools such as penn foster, stratford career, university of phoenix, capella and others: http://www.capellauniversitysucks.us http://www.ripoffreport.com and can type into search. no difference in reality. it's probably a way of getting more money from you for the education. most of the important training is on the job. ask the school what the difference is.
