    No, that's not true. ADNs are still being hired in medical settings, and can have a salary pretty close to a BSNs. But if you think about it this way, if you are competing for a job with someone who has a BSN, it's probably more likely for the BSN to be hired. You both are RNs, but employers may see more education as favorable. There is nothing wrong with the route you are taking. If you go back to school to get your BSN, some employers may even pay for you to go back. It depends on how many credits you take, but it is usually another 1.5-2 years of extra education to get your BSN.
