For CNA nurses, how do you deal with combative or difficult elderly?

Nurses: Should CNA's dress in a different Uniform from that of Nurses?

• Perhaps the Nurses dress only in white and the CNAs in colored scrubs? A Nurse brought this up at our Meeting? What do you think?

  I think that the days of a white uniform are past for a variety of reasons.All staff in a hospital are required to wear photo I.D. cards that identify them by name and position.I think the coloured scrubs are more practical .I do agree that it can be confusing to identify what position each person holds.However if you are a regular staff member on a particular floor or unit it shouldn't take long to learn who is who I am not a nurse but have family members who are.I do know for certain that neither would go back to wearing a uniform over scrubs simply because of ease of movement when doing certain work.Even if staff wore different colours the patients would still rely on I.D.
