    You can pretty much choose anything that suits you. Mine are nursing with a minor in zoology. Having a double major greatly lengthens the time required to start making some cash. So a minor is the way to go, I think. You might try to get the nursing electives out of the way. That would help. Tuition costs so much these days. I'd say it's important to not waste too much time making a decision, and going for it as soon as you can. Another option, maybe a better one, is to go from your two year degree to a BSN/MSN. That's a good option, too. Keep in mind that middle managers are the ones to loose their jobs more easily than the ones doing the bedside work. Certainly there are fewer positions at the MSN level, but you do need to consider how much you really want to move around for work.
