What career can i get with a bachelors degree in healthcare administration?

    It really depends on what you ultimate career goal is. If you see yourself running a hospital or working in a large hospital system, you really need a MBA--the bachelor's by itself won't do it. I have a difference of opinion to some previous posts here--in my experience (25 yrs in HR primarily in large health system). Running a department of a hospital for example is usually done by someone who has a clinical degree (for example, a DIrector of Nursing almost always has a bachelors of nursing) and learns the management end through "on the job experience" and courses provided by their employer. Most clinical personnel do NOT like being supervised by individuals who have not "been there, done that". You could however possibly run a non-clinical department (something in finance, admitting, etc.) I can tell you we almost never hire bachelors of healthcare administration folks.....we almost always either hire MBAs for the business side, and use advanced degreed clinical personnel for the operations side.

You can get a job in Healthcare Administration, running a department at a hospital for example. With the requisite amount of experience and talent you could even run the hospital or other healthcare related organization. Just remember that the degree only opens the door. You will still have to prove yourself once you are there. As far as the MBA goes I would work a couple of years in the Healthcare Industry before going back for the MBA. Good Luck
