How can it be more beneficial to use drugs then harmful?

How can celebrities openly say that they use drugs and then not get arrested/prosecuted for it?

  • Many celebrities are open about doing weed, having wild parties where drugs happen, etc...how can they get away with saying that they do this stuff? Why wouldn't the police raid ...show more

  • Answer:

A confession absent of corroboration is worthless. I can confess to 1000 crimes and brag about breaking the law, but without evidence, I am a free citizen. Look on the bright side...keeps a lot of crazy folks out of jail.

Just the fact that they said it isn't probable cause for a search warrant. If they said "I am going to be smoking _____ at _____ place on ____ day", then they would get in trouble. Of course they will never do that.

There seems to be a double standard involved when dealing with celebs/politicians. But you actually have to see them do the substance to have real good probable cause to arrest or detain. I'm really shocked that Paris did any time. And the reason for not raiding would go to probable cause again, and hear say isn't enough for a Judge to issue a warrant. Geez, I'd have to bust my 83 year old Mom everytime she gets her pain pills and quips about selling them for Bingo money. COP QUOTE: The handcuffs are tight because they're new. They'll stretch out after you wear them awhile."

I do weed, rock, crack, meth, heroin, pcp, ice, and pepsi cola. There, now all I have to do is wait for the raid. I also drive over 100 mph on the highway whenever I think I can get away with it. So now I suppose a cop will pull me over for speeding. Actually, he can't, based only on my say-so. There has to be some evidence of it going on WHEN he busts me. Same with the drugs. Saying it's there is a lot different than it actually BEING there during a raid. And if there isn't any during a raid, the lawsuits get real ugly and expensive against the city. I made a remark to a cop one time in conversation about killing a man, and the cop actually threatened to arrest me on the sole basis of my 'confession'. I was amused that he considered it the only 'evidence' necessary for an arrest.
