    Essentially there are several ways to obtain an RN licensure, but the best way to do so is a BSN (bachelor's degree). It's a 4year degree at a university. You will need to make sure you have the pre-requisites completed as well, if applicable, before you are accepted into their nursing program. There are also 2year RN diploma programs. usually offered through community colleges. Also a viable option. *However* be aware that many hospitals are tending to strongly encourage all of their employees to convert to the BSN-RN degree, and are shying away from hiring diploma RNs. There are also still hospital-based RN programs out there. See above for the same issues.
