  The physician assistant career has much greater respectability and far more economic security that being a chiropractor. In my area, the chiros are practically tripping over each other at malls and fairs , trying to get suckers...ummm, I mean "patients". At a health fair, a TV crew went undercover and visited several booths where chiros offered free health screenings. Before going to the health fair , the reporter was checked out by both an M.D. and an experienced chiro and was found to be in excellent health. When the reporter visited each of the booths at the fair the free screening always turned up some alleged health problem. The reporter was told to make an appointment with the chiro to get the problem fixed. The funny thing was that none of the chiros agreed on what the problem was. It became obvious that they were just making things up to try to sucker the reporter into coming in. In my area there are also numerous licensed massage therapists (LMTs). They seem to do a better job at a lower cost than the chiropractors. Most of them also seem to make more money than the chiros. There are LMTs at local shopping malls and spas that always seem to be busy. Keep working on becoming a physicians assistant for the likelyhood of greater income, greater job security, and greater credibility.
