    The only PA program that you should attend is a MASTERS level (which is 2.5 years, true) but after a bachelors in a pre-med type of curricula. And yes, the vast majority require some sort of medical experience for a designated amount of time. Your pre-reqs would include biology, lots of chemistry, microbio, math, anatomy, physiology, all the -ologies you can take. No they don't usually need much prior experience, however it would really help if you had something like being a nurse, or a resident care attendant or something like that will give you a head over the next person. They are like doctor practitioners.
