Is CNA a good to start if I want to be a nurse?

What kind of money would a CNA make? I understand that a CNA is not a Nurse I may want to pursue that later.?

    I used to live very close to Jonesboro! :) (We lived in Hoxie and Paragould and Walnut Ridge before) I miss it. Most nursing homes will train you for free to become a cna if you will work for them. Black River Technical College in Pocahontas, AR has a cna course. I know ASU has an RN and LPN program, I do not know for certain if they have a cna course. I don't think you can do it online, however. I could be wrong.

my sister is one and has been for years -- she makes 10,75 an hour -- a lot of nursing homes -- her's include will pay for the training if you agree to work there afterwards!!!

Well i'm a RN and there are different levels of nursing assisted. Here in Maryland we have CNA and they can make about 7.50 to about 12.50 hourly Then we have GNA and they can make up to about the same Then we have something called "Nursing Techs" they can make up to 10.00 to 14.50 hourly.( they can draw blood) so they can make more
