Does having an AS in Computer Science enough to find a job nowadays?

Will it be hard to find a job with a computer science degree?

  • Although computer science interest me, I don't want to be stuck without a job when i graduate from college since I've heard technology jobs are declining? Is this true?

  • Answer:

I have an AS from a private accredited college in the Sillicon valley in Comp Network Technology. My recommendation is: Do whatever you can to land a a great internship with a good company who will have you working on real day to day tech support tasks. I interned at my school and and volunteers at an unemployment officer for 6 months monitoring comp labs and at best swapping out hardware from network printers, updating and installing software applications and supporting students and teachers and job seekers with mostly inernet, network printing and projector issues. For 1 year after grad I interviewed several times for entry level positions and was unable to land even a help desk job and I'm sure it was for lack of real world on the job experience. Get as much as you can out of your internship and you will land a great job!
