Does fast food experience count as sales experience?
-
I want to apply for a job that requires sales experience. I have fast food experience and was wondering if that will count as sales experience.
-
Answer:
No. In Fast Food, you are not selling anything. You are simply serving a pre-made product. You aren't exactly having to convince the customer that they need or want a particular item. "Do you want fries with that?" is not selling. However, most sales jobs are just looking for self motivated individuals that want to make money. I would suggest selling cars to start. Dealerships are always looking for salesman.
