I have broken 17 bones, and all I really remember is the sound it made and the fact that it hurt. Fortunately, our bodies go into a mild form of shock when there is an injury as serious as a broken bone, so we don't remember much but vague details about the injury. I actually think it hurt more when I sprained an ankle than when I broke it.

I broke my wrist in soccer from being pushed to the ground. I just got up and my wrist was a huge bump where it broke because the bone arched up. I just walked over to my coach and showed him. I'm really tough so I wasn't panicking at all.. Didn't hurt much at first, probably from shock cause I was pushed from behind.
