HELP! may have accidentally gotten SAND in nose! could i get the brain eating amoeba from this??!?

I think the bigger question here is: why do you have a sandbox next to your bed? Is it a cat litterbox? In that case, I'd be more worried about toxoplasmosis than amoebas.

I wouldnt worry about it. Think if how many people get sand in their nose and are fine. Just get the sand out if your nose and you'll be fine.
