    So, somehow you think that Ross should have known that Rachel would get back together with him, the next morning? Rachel wanted the "break," while Ross, obviously did not. She hurt him, badly. He sought relief from pain and the other girl was willing to help him. I'm not saying that there aren't other ways to console oneself, but blaming Ross for his behavior and for the friction that would later continue to haunt them, totally ignores Rachel's selfish, "I want it when I want it and the world revolves around ME!" attitude.

they were on a break, but it was an emotional break...and Rachel could not communicate that effectively to Ross. The copy girl could have been avoided, I think that was just opportunity..And Rachel's ex...hanging around all the time did not help communicate effectively to Ross. Mark was a smoke screen for what she was not dealing with, with Ross. The fact that she changed her mind the next day...only goes to prove she was just trying to sort things emotionally.

Ross also thought she was sleeping with Mark because when he called Rachel, he heard Mark in the background and Rachel tried to hide it, which only made things more suspicious. I think Ross was in the wrong. There is a certain amount of time after a breakup where it's respectable to sleep with somebody else if your in a deep relationship. The night you break up is not good. Put yourself in Rachel's shoes. Plus the breakup was pretty ambigious too.

I agree, if you look at Ross's history he's not the type that would cheat on a relationship. Especially someone he's had sooo much history with like Rachel. You can also tell that Rachel is the type to hold this sort of grudge for a long time.

yes she specifically said they were on a break but I would never forgive him for sleeping with someone right away.

Ross was in the right - she intiated the break. What's the old saying "be careful what you wish for?" I wish Ross hadn't hopped into bed so quick but he did it because he needed comfort & validation not out of revenge. So Ross is forgiven.
