Where can I check a British's passport?

How do I check the current status of my passport?

  • [India] I got a Tatkal Passport. I am staying at a hostel. After getting the passport, one verification was done at my hostel and another one was supposed to be done at my home. An officer called up my parents and asked them whether he could come for verification. My parents were leaving for a family get-together and requested him to come the next day. The officer asked a few questions (my name, my mother's name, whether i was at home) and dropped the line. He did not contact my parents after that. What should I do? How do I check whether everything is fine? I tried checking at the regional passport office but they don't keep track after the passport is dispatched. Please help me out. This is urgent.

    Don't worry. Getting a Passport takes a while. I trust everything is in order, they just take their own sweet time to process it.
