What are some inexpensive indoor/outdoor rock climbing places?

Open rock climbing places in MI? (boy scouts campout)?

For the National Outdoor Achievement Award (boy scouts(I'm gonna plan an outing to go open rock climbing. Does anyone know any good places to go as well as any out fiters?

This site lists all the rock climbing sites (indoors and out) in Michigan. Just click on which area of the state you are looking in: http://www.rockclimbing.com/cgi-bin/routes/page.cgi?g=North+America%2FUnited+States%2FMichigan However, since the state is flat and sandy, there are really no outdoor cliffs to climb. Only two are listed in the lower peninsula, both are only about 30 feet and the rock is horrible crumbling crap. Nothing you could lead. Really your only choice is indoor climbing walls unless you go to the UP. And even up there they are not great. You would be better off driving to another state, like West Virginia's Coopers Rocks (10 hour drive from Grand Rapids) or Seneca Rocks (12 to 14 hour drive from GR).
