Where's a good place to go camping near Mount Marcy?

My Venture Crew is planning to go hiking at Mount Marcy in the Adirondacks this summer, but we can't seem to find a good campsite nearby. Does anyone have any suggestions?

the ADK Loj...the traikhead to mt marcy starts right at the campground..try to get a lean-to on heart lake..bonus is that its the only place in the High Peaks that lets you have campfires http://www.adk.org/ad_wilderness/index.aspx
