How to find the size of a backpack, cubic inches?

    If you know the company that made your bag you should be able to go to a website where the volume has been calculated for you. Or call customer service and ask for more specifications on your bag. For camping packs it is a very common question. Someone should already know, and they have gotten their answer more accurately than is reasonable for you to get them. OR yes, you can calculate it yourself. I have always heard to get something small like packing peanuts or sand or whatever...and fill your bag and fill all the pockets until they are fully extended but still close comfortably. Then dump them into a container that you know the volume and calculate from there. But who in their right mind is going to do that?
