How do I change my PS3 Hard Drive?

If I change the Hard Drive of my old PS3 , will it become faster?

    Changing the HDD size for a larger one can actually sometimes make the loading take longer as it has more HDD to search through. The defference is negligible though, and it's much better and easier (in my opinion) to have a larger HDD. Good luck! - d23

Depending what harddrive you switch it out for. You could put in a $2000 SSD in there and it would surely make it much faster but where is the line of where it's worth it? Make sure the harddrive you switch it out for is 2.5" and not 3.5" or it won't fit. I found this harddrive on tigerdirect for $70. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=160443&CatId=2676 It will speed it up and it also has a much larger capacity than the other harddrive that was there. yes, because it's full it will make ur ps3 slow little bit. but if u change the hard drive it will become faster and put more games. make sure the hard disc file system is FAT 32.
