    There are actually rumors saying a price drop in March 09, but a Sony Executive released a statement that it was false. Oh well, we will see in 3 months :P. Most likely the price would drop only $50, it cannot drop another $100 because Blu Rays still cost a lot, but who knows it could. Just buy your PS3 in Costco because they have a 90 day return policy and if Sony actually does have a price drop on the PS3, just go to them and they will return you the amount of money of the price drop. Also if you think about, PS3 is more worth it than the Xbox 360 because PS3 has the Blu-Ray which costs $249.99 the lowest in stores. Free online too.

Noone knows a certain date, Sony are very good at keeping information from leaking out. Obviously they'll drop down slightly in the January sales. Your right in saying that x-boxes are cheaper and the add ons to make it the same as a PS3 make it cost around the same price, but even then it's not equal. PS3's have blu-ray players and x-boxes don't. So the PS3 is more than just a gaming device.
