How do i get a stain out of a white shirt, after trying to bleach it, it left a brown stain?

  You can get it out..but be prepared to work at it. Wet the shirt. Put a towel down under it. Go get a scubbie sponge, a loofa, anything that you can scrub with. A soft bristled brush would work, too. - Mix hot water, a teaspoon of detergent and a tablespoon of bleach in a small bowl. Squirt a little more detergent on it if you have to. Just keep working at the stain and periodically rinse with COOL to WARM water..NOT HOT. - Keep this process up until you see the stain is gone. THEN Wash the entire shirt with a little detergent, laundry softener and add a few pur white items in there like tshirts or socks so it's not in the washer alone. - Wash it on cool-warm. Pull it out once the cycle is complete and you should have a clean shirt. IF NOT; go back to working at the stain. At no point should you use hot water or a hot dryer. That will set a stain. - Keep working on it & it will come out. - You have to really rinse it well and the laundry softener will mak it soft & smell nice. I would suggest hanging it to dry vs a dryer (so it won't shrink) and pressing with a hot iron after it's dry. -
