You might have to save it as a different file type too. When you save go to "save as" and you will be able to control what kind of file you save it as (jpeg, gif, bmp, etc). Make sure you save it as a file type Facebook Supports!

You have to save it first and then upload it. Thats it.

Nothing wrong with the facebook i think.I would suggest you to scan your system with MalwareBytes & Reginout. They should help you in this issue for sure.
