Why are contacts' emails shown instead of their Nicknames on MSN (only some contacts)?

Answer:
It means their contact details only has its e-mail address saved. No nickname, no lastname, no firstname, no nothing, just the e-mail address. Update so that next time it will show the nickname instead. But if it already have, look at your preferences if it is set to e-mail address. Hope this helps.
