    it swings both ways If a teenager is immature and can not handle the intertnet correctly, then websites like Myspace and Facebook can be potentially dangerous. I am a teen myself and see friends all the time wanting to add more and more friends, and not caring who they add. There are some creepers out there, and i think that misusing these websites by posting too much personal information and provacative pictures can be dangerous. Kids out there sometimes think they are making "friends", and they want to trust whoever is on the other side of the screen, and i know it sounds completely cheesy and oversaid, but it is really dangerous out there, and i know kids say "this wont happen to me," and hopefully it wont, but it is still dangerous on the flip side, Myspace and Facebook can be a great way to keep in touch with old friends and have some fun on the computer. Myspace is alwasy handy if you want to find an old friend and see what they are up to, or look at your friend's page, or your "crush's" page, and see what their interests are. all those websites and loads of fun, but if used immaturely, i think it has a potential of being dangerous

Anywhere on the internet is potentially dangerous for teenagers. So are a lot of places in real life. That's why these parents who complain need to get off their a** and try some actual parenting. Maybe they could get involved, and find out what their kids are up to. Instead, a lot of parents let the internet babysit their kids for years, and then scream bloody murder when they find out that something inappropriate is going on. :-/

yes, it is always possible of course... but you can make points in your essay that it is not as dangerous, if you do not include information about yourself (such as where you live, your birthday, and full name) and you should be fine. But if you include info like that in your myspace, and many pictures, then yes it can be dangerous.

yes and no. as long as you don't put vital information about yourself on there for stalkers and child molesters you should be fine. Myspace allows you to private your page so I would do that if you dont want to get stalked.

I don't think the websites themselves endanger teenagers, teenagers misuse of the sites put them in danger.Myspace and facebook have privacy control settings on their sites that if teenagers used them they could eliminate the chances of someone that has no business contacting them from contacting them. They can control it by limiting the people who can view their page and limiting what people can see on their page

Yes because i put my profile in private so only my friends can see it but still someone from my freinds list stole my pictures and information and created a fake profile by my name, and they were adding my friends too.

I don't think the site is but some people are. If your kids don't know right from wrong and believe anything anybody tells them, then yeah there is going to be a problem.

I think it can be dangerous if your not careful but if you put like your myspace profile on private and only add people you know then no....since your friends most likely won't hurt you. I can't stand it when people say it's dangerous it is only dangerous if you don't put it to private or tell random people way to much information about you Kid's were in danger of abduction and stuff WAY before this stuff came out people are just trying to blame things on stuff they know nothing about
