How do I delete yahoo messenger from my account?

    I am not getting messages from someone that I wish to talk with so I was wondering if I could delete them from my yahoo messanger then re add them back on my messanger without blocking them ? And start recieveng messages from them again how would I go about doing that because my little nexas 7computer is not doing what I am asking it to do I am reading the name and email but it is not doing it I would like to do it and I would like to do it tonight or get info so I can do it and be able to re invite this person on my messanger!!!!... Do I have to go into my yahoo account and go to manage my accounts to do this on a normal account!!!!!

You can't; by having Yahoo you have a messenger account, that's just how it is. You can just uninstall the messenger and not use it anymore though.

If you are trying to get a message " this person is not a Yahoo Messenger subscriber" you can not get this. Yahoo IM is an add-on to your yahoo account. Just delete the program from your computer. Then they will not be able to contact you via YIM. However you may sill be on others Contact List. The only way to avoid people is to close your yahoo account and start another account.

You can remove messenger by going into control panel>add/remove programs...I don't think there is a way of letting people know you're not accepting messages ,though. After no answers from you they will probably get the hint.lol

U cant delete ur yahoo answers or any other yahoo service account individually. If u wish to delete ur account, u shall hv to delete ur full yahoo account. http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/changing_users/edit-23.html Please click the above link and then click on account deletion in the third last para of the page. A new window will open and will guide u further in solving ur problem. Or Go to https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user and click on terminate account. It will solve ur problem.
