These folks saying an 18 year old can't be adopted are WRONG WRONG WRONG! Many states (if not all) have laws concerning adult adoption.. In fact, adult adoption can actually be easier because the courts don't have to wait on bio parent permission!

Fees will vary by the county. Since no lawyer is required, the costs should be under $500. Ignore the ads online that say 'if you have an uncontested adult adoption blah blah we can help you for thousands less". It's garbage advertising as adult adoptions can't be contested other than by the adoptee. In other words, you can't adopt another adult without their consent via this method. Like duh.

Sorry, but you cannot adopt an adult. Adults could handle themselves. You could just live with your friend and pretend you are a family. ITs just like adoption.
