I'm 5'4" and 123 lbs so the 143 should be good for me. But could someone tell me if the design of this board is okay for beginners? Do you have another board you'd ...show more

Answer:
Looks like a good board. The flex is soft so it won't be as easy to fall over by catching an edge (the board will be more forgiving). Almost everyone learns on camber boards so it shouldn't be a problem. If you want, I'd look into Burton V-Rocker shape as it is a lot more forgiving than camber. However, this doesn't mean that the board you chose is bad in any way. If you're going Burton, I'd recommend the Feather: http://www.burton.com/womens-boards-feather-snowboard/231473,default,pd.html?start=14&cgid=womens-boards It has Burton's EZ-V shape. This means it's like the V-Rocker shape I mentioned earlier but a bit more forgiving. For this board I would recommend the 144 cm. Another advantage this board has is it's slightly less expensive! My little sister has this board and she seems to love it. She's falling a LOT less since she got this board.

Do not listen to the above answerer. Burton is most definitely not the best. I assume since you posted a womens board you are a woman, I personally think that is too small, I'm a 5'4" 170 LB male and I ride a 152. Remember: You do NOT NEED to ride a womens board. Look at the parent company 'mervin manufacturing' they own GNU, LIB Tech, and Roxy. They are 100% environMENTAL (As they call it) boards, that are made in America, which allows them to control quality better, whereas Burton boards are made in Austria. Burton boards use dangerous chemicals (dangerous to the environment) to make the boards shiny, all they are doing is hurting the environment."Roxy" boards are all womens, while GNU and LIB Tech also make womens boards. Have fun! (Look for end-of-season discounts before you buy your board, I bought my board for next year, a Never Summer SL (MSRP $509) for $350 at a local shop.
