Big scratch in snowboard?

  • i just got a new snowboard, I ran over a rock with it and theres this big scratch in it now. Is there away it get rid of the scratch or do i need a new board? It's kinda deep to

  • Answer:

You dont need a new board everytime you run over a rock. i dont think you should even get a base grind or anything. You only go up like ten times a season or sumthin so you shouldnt even worry.

You can bring it to a shop and they will fix it for you, but you don't need to. You definately don't need a new board. I have so many gauges on my boards from landing on rocks and stuff, but they still ride just fine. I am too lazy to get them fixed too. People laugh when they see the bottom of my boards. Like said above, if its too deep you want to get it fixed. But I doubt from just running over a rock its that deep.

p-tex

Yeah. Take it to a snowboard shop, and they will fill it with p-tex. But, a scratch really shouldn't affect how you ride. Although, if it does, then I would strongly recommend getting it fixed. Good Luck! :-)
