  • Answer:

as someone else said above, first thing you should buy is good boots and get them pro fitted at a board shop. if its your first set up then the board and bindings could be bought off ebay for pretty cheap and you wouldn't require a really technical board for now. later when you become more advanced and/or grow you can easily upgrade to a new board

go for the feelgood or alpha as a beginner, because the lux is a good board pipe, but you need to get better on the mountain and the alpha and feelgood are good all-around boards.

A lot of the resorts have "Demo Days" where tons of different companies are out there showing off their skis/snowboards, and will let you try them on the mountain. Same thing with the pro/rental shop at the resort - many of them will have demo boards you can try out. If the resort you go to doesn't have that, take a look around at other resorts around you. Otherwise, look for snowboard rental stores near you and see what they have that you can try out.

You mIght want to rent for one day just to see if you like it. Then You can think about investing in a board. If you are still growing don't buy one thats too expncive Cause youll outgrow it Have FUN!
