Inline or Quad Skates for outside?

What is better to skate indoors with inline skates or quad wheel skates, what gives you more comfort and allows you to go backwards easier?

  I prefer inlines but their big advantages (safety with rough surfaces and speed) disappear indoors. They really are about even otherwise. People who do freestyle (lots of turning around and fancy foot moves) seem to prefer inlines but there are a lot of quads in the competitions also.
