Summer snowboarding what to use?

Can I use one of those all purpose helmets for skiing/snowboarding eg you can use forskateboarding ETC?

    Not usually the best solution, unless the helmet is rated for snowsports. This is a different rating than skateboard helmets. The temperature of snowsport helmets is different than skateboard. Also a snowsport helmet is warmer.

I have seen people ski in foam bicycle helmets. Sure, you can but a skateboarding helmet form walmart, but your ears will probably freeze. Also, ski/board helmets have a clip in the back that will hold your goggles onto it. I would suggest putting the $30-$60 into a real boarding helmet, but honestly as long as you aren't being stupid and going off jumps or anything, you don't really need one.
