What does a junior accountant do?

What is it like to be an accountant?

  • What does an accountant actually do. If anybody is an accountant can you tell me what it is like please, and do you enjoy your job. Also, can I be an accountant with these A levels ...show more

  • Answer:

Whilst your A-levels are not closely linked to accounting (Even maths - its not as linked as one might think) it doesn't matter. University will care more about your grades than what its in because when it comes to accountancy you will have to learn the basics and work up (If you chose Uni most of your class with have to experience either.) as there is alot of procedure someone non-trained wouldnt be familiar with. If your looking for a school leaver entry position any firm would also care about grades above anything else. It is also note worthy that a lot of people in graduate positions and CEOs often get degrees in other things before entering accounting. Grades are more important than subject.
