When do I claim back tax in the UK?

Can i claim some tax back when leaving the UK after having worked there for 6 years?

Unless you have paid tax in advance (which is very unlikely) you wont get anything back. In the UK you get a tax free allowance every year. If you get paid weekly you claim 1/52 of that amount each week, if you get paid monthly you claim 1/12 of it each month. Your employer does that automatically. The reason you cant claim back is because you have enjoyed the benefits that the tax system provides in the UK
