What is the best FREE website that pays you to do things like take surveys and watch ads?

  Yes, there are scams, but not all sites that say they will pay you to take surveys and watch ads are scams. But generally they don't pay much. I've never tried the payed ad ones myself (except for places like TheHungerSite.com which donate to charity, but I know there are some places that do this because I found them when I was researching places to advertise my website. They only pay a few cents per ad (sometimes less). Legit survey sites will pay usually $1-5 per survey (average time is usually 10-30 minutes--some take longer but on good sites they also pay more). Occasionally I'll get one that pays $10-15. You won't qualify for every survey a site offers. Most are only looking for a certain demographic, like mother's of small children or men in their 30's or whatever and you won't always be in it. Anyways, I don't have an opinion on a "best" survey program because there are many out there that are equally good. Even with a company that pays well and offers a lot of surveys, you may only qualify for two or three a month, so you earn more if you sign up for several programs. Buzzback or American Consumer Opinion or Pinecone Research are good ones to start with because they pay fairly well per survey and you don't have to wait to earn a certain amount to cash out (so, if you decide you don't like taking surveys then you haven't lost anything by quitting). Opinion Outpost is also a good one and you can cash out after only earning $5 (they send a lot of surveys so that's easy to meet). I like GlobalTestMarket too, but they don't let you cash out until you reach $50, and that can take a while, so I wouldn't sign up there until you had tried some other places to see how you like taking corporate surveys.
